FAQ
Can I paste straight from Excel?
Yes. Copied cells are tab-separated and detected automatically.
Why pad the columns?
Markdown renders fine without padding, but aligned source is easier to read and edit. Turn off "Align columns" for the most compact table.
Can cells be merged?
Standard Markdown (including GitHub) does not support merged cells; use an HTML table if you need them.
